Mother's Day Giveaway has been Gifted!

Finally I can share that the giveaway I offered for Mother’s Day has finally been received. It took some time due to difficulties in arranging schedules, but I’m happy the lovely mother of two Sonya has received her 30x40cm photographic print after her photoshoot with me.

The goal of the shoot was something she was looking for - a portrait of beautiful, strong, independent woman, who knows what she deserves. From all the photographs, she chose this one and required to be in black and white. And so, here is the result…

It’s a true honour to see people opening up in front of my camera and allowing me inside their personal space. It’s a honour to feel their trust in the process. And the happy faces from the results are just adding up to the whole miracle.

Studio Photoshoot for the PT Aimee Nelligan

What a session this was… 🔥

Aimee is a personal trainer, based in Barcelona and a very inspiring young woman. It was an absolute honour creating with and for her.

She needed photographs to capture her transformational process - strict diet and fitness plan for 3 months before the photo shoot, to achieve the desired results. This wasn’t jus a fitness shoot, but one that will support her personal branding and book launch as well.

We did the session in the beautiful Studio 101 in Poblenou, Barcelona and tried a few different looks. Aimee prepared and organised every detail from her side - from the outfits to her hair and make up artist to make sure it all fits perfectly with her style and idea. On the other side, I prepared my part - studio selection, lighting settings, pose inspirations.

I believe we did a great job, what do you think?

Most interesting of all is how the Universe got us togetehr and we ended up having so many similarities in point of views, style and even similar health history. One of Aimee’s concerns about the diet plan for the shoot was her past history with food disorder. Something that I personally have history in and completely understand. She excited successfully!

There is a true magic in photography that gives us the power to heal wounds like this in a very beautiful and creative way. When you see your incredible body portrayed in such beautiful way, you become celebrating it more instead of hating and hurting it like before.

Portrait of the body helps you gain awareness and understand that it is here to help you and the more you love it, the more it loves you back.

Art Nude Photo Session: Body & Piano

Music has a special pulling power. Isn’t it amazing how sounds can make you feel? Can take you places and bring back memories? Can change the frequency of your emotions and turn them upside out and inside out.

During one of my commissions, I had to photograph all the musicians with their instruments. Some instruments are easier to frame - those easy to move have more posing options to play with. But I found myself challenged by the keyboard. I adore the piano, I love the keys - back&white, square edges, you know, my favourite things, but the shape of a keyboard… well, the shape I find a bit weird, looking less inspiring than its sound.

So I challenged my own creativity - something so square and static, but so beautiful to me, can I transform it and give it another look, another feel, put some body shapes around?

Maybe it’s true that whatever you capture with a female body will look beautiful. Or maybe is my love towards both that make me feel that way.

New work for the massage studio 'donde los yayos de barcelona'

New photography work fr the Barcelona based massages Victor and his studio ‘donde los yayos de barcelona’

Victor needed some portrait photography of himself along with interior photography of his space. The usual commercial photography look of the space but also, seeing my type of work, he wanted me to do something more artistic for his personal look, something atet connects with the type of massages he does.

Victor’s work is focused on the connection between the clients and their bodies (my favourite subject). During his sessions he pays attention to the individual needs of the body rater than just physio massage. And maybe that’s why we clicked - we both look at the body as a living thing with energy, something that has individual needs that go deeper than the physical pain.

It was great working with different type of professional that focuses on the magnificent of the body similar to me. Looking forward to new projects like this.
